Local artists lend their talents to our hotel
Kimpton Hotel Arras is committed to sharing Asheville’s flourishing arts scene with our guests. That’s why we reached out to local, renowned artists and commissioned pieces to display throughout our hotel’s public spaces and guestrooms.
For example, we asked Alex Matisse to create the lovely porcelain vessels that adorn our guestrooms and suites. John Wayne Jackson crafted the monumental ceramic leaves you see near our lobby elevators. Copper headboard sculptures by Haw Creek Forge's Catherine Murray, waxed carbon wood totems by Carl Pitman and layered gesso works by Stephen St. Claire are other examples that give our hotel a collector’s touch.Please ask the front desk for a brochure of our commissioned artworks showcased throughout Kimpton Hotel Arras.
